Ricky Shaffer Obituary
Ricky was born on December 13, 1955, in York, PA, the son of the late Donald and Carmen Shaffer. He was the husband of Patricia Shaffer, with whom he shared 33 years of marriage.
Pappy was the kind of man whose presence brought comfort and steadiness to any room. A pillar of strength for his family, he was a quiet protector who showed his love through actions rather than words. His life was marked by unwavering devotion to his family, deep loyalty to his friends, and an appreciation for the simple moments that mattered most.
He is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Shaffer, and wife Deborah; his stepchildren, Del Shannon Miller and Katherine Miller; as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved nephew, Jason Shaffer, and his grandson, Andrew Rhoades.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who offered comfort, support, and compassionate care during his final days. Your kindness will never be forgotten. In Pappy's honor, please take a moment to hold your loved ones close.

Ricky Shaffer was my friend´s husband, but he was my friend too. He was Pap to my kids, a guiding hand to one of my sons, and always the guy who showed up with a joke and a kind word.
For over thirty years, he was part of our lives. He helped bring an old school back to life with paint, hard work, and heart. There are so many memories, but my favorite will always be Ricky and Pat at the beach-laughing and just being themselves.
Thank you, Ricky, for being part of our family. You are deeply missed.
