He worked at UPSCO in Moravia for many years until his retirement. Upon retirement he enjoyed his time as a full time "Papa."
Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather "Papa", uncle, and friend. He was a lifetime member of the Scipio Volunteer Fire Department. Bob was a proud Veteran of the Marine Corps, and he enjoyed the Buffalo Bills, hunting, fishing, sports, and chatting with fire department friends, but what he looked forward to the most was traveling to all of his grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with family. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He supported his family in many ways and was always there to help.
Bob is survived by his wife Linda Andrews of 47 years; daughters Sherri (Terrence) Foos of Auburn, NY and Danielle (Brad) George of Lansing, NY; son Adam (Sheri) Andrews of Aurora, NY; daughter Brandy Andrews of Arizona; grandchildren Cannin Springer, Alexandra Springer, Skyler Springer, Briana George, Collin Andrews, Landon Andrews, Jaden Black, Amber (Caleb) Moseley, and Erika Black; mother-in-law Esther Stedge; niece Michele (Mark) Lincoln; brother- in-law Tom Brown; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Richard "Dick" Andrews, sisters Shirley Sharpsteen, Lorraine Andrews, Glenda Brown, and Marlene Marks.
The family is planning a celebration of life on Saturday, January 18 th at 1 p.m. at the Scipio Fire Station. Private burial arrangements are being handled by Zirbel Funeral Home, Groton, NY.
