Robert Emery Auclair

Robert E. Auclair, age 80, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 12:00 pm with Fr. Alan Guanella presiding. Burial will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Plainfield, WI. Visitation will be held at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI on Monday, May 22, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation will also take place on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of service at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.
Robert was born on March 29, 1943, in Detroit, MI to Edgar and Helen Auclair. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961. He married Romilda "Middi" Krutzik on May 30, 1964 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Plainfield, WI.
Robert was a proud Wisconsin Rapids Firefighter for 29 years and became a winter Texan where he thoroughly enjoyed golfing every day, playing tennis, pickle ball, the swimming pool and nightly outings to the hot tub to enjoy conversations with his amazing friends. He relished in the achievements of his children and grandchildren and was overjoyed with the hard work and dedication his family took in restoring his 1963-1/2 Ford Galaxy. His hard work, humor and "Bear" hugs will be missed by everyone.
Robert is survived by his special friend, Susan Swidryk, children, daughter, Sandy (Rob) Huber; two sons, Jim Auclair, Ron (Sally) Auclair; seven grandchildren, Matt Auclair, Mark (Trina) Auclair, Melinda Auclair, Dylan (Danielle) Huber, Dayna Harris, Jessica Auclair, Myles Auclair; five great-grandchildren, Alexcia Engle, Mason Auclair, Winston III and Quinton Harris and Hannah Huber, and his special sister, Mary Blanchard and her husband Dan Burk, who was an integral part of his "village" of caregivers who dedicated their love, support and compassion over his last few months. Also, a special "thank you" to the 6th floor nursing staff at the Marshfield Medical Center Hospital who celebrated his 80th birthday and brought him so much compassion and kindness during his difficult stays. We are forever grateful.
He is preceded in death by Wife, Romilda "Middi" Auclair, Parents Edgar Auclair and Helen Sullivan, Brother David Auclair, Sisters Marilyn Krutzik and Carol Hanson.
