Robert E. "Bobby" Burka

Robert E. "Bobby" Burka, 35, of Gloversville, New York, passed away on October 27, 2024 at home. Bobby was born on January 11, 1989 in Poughkeepsie, New York to Robert and Lisa (Papula) Burka.
Throughout his life, Bobby loved the great outdoors and always enjoyed spending his time deer hunting, fishing, and ice fishing with his father, brother, and his friends. In his free time indoors, he often liked to play video games. More than anything, Bobby's greatest joy in life was spending time with his two children, Vance and Everly, and making memories with his friends and family.
Bobby attended Gloversville schools, and graduated from Gloversville High School with the class of 2007. While in high school, he completed the Autobody program through HFM BOCES, and went on to study at the Fulton-Montgomery Community College. Bobby then worked as a Forklift Operator at the Walmart Distribution Center for several years. Bobby leaves behind his loving family, including his children, Vance and Everly Burka; his parents, Robert J. Burka Jr., and Lisa M. Burka; his brother, Andrew (Haley) Burka; his niece, Isla Burka; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited, and may call on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 3:00PM until 6:00PM at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville. A prayer service will follow the calling hours, with Fr. Matthew Wetsel presiding.
