Robert Brandon Burkhart, age 67, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 1, 1956 in Clarksville, TN to Isabel Evans Burkhart and the late Hugh Brandon Burkhart. During his childhood, Robert grew up on Lylewood Road on a 200-acre farm.
Robert graduated from Northwest High School in 1974 and later from Austin Peay State University in 1978. His passion for learning was evident in his academic achievements which laid a strong foundation for his successful career. Robert's commitment to his work was admirable, as he spent nearly three decades serving Montgomery County through his employment in the Assessor's of Property Office. In his spare time, Robert thoroughly enjoyed reading and expanding his knowledge. He had a green thumb and took great delight in being outdoors, surrounded by nature while planting beautiful flowers. Whether it was a walk or an adventurous hike, he embraced the outdoors wholeheartedly.
Robert's true joy came from his unwavering faith in the Lord. He cherished his relationship with the Lord above all else and found comfort and strength in his spirituality throughout his life. He was a faithful member of Hilldale Church of Christ in Clarksville, TN.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Hugh Brandon Burkhart. Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Anna R. Burkhart; his mother, Isabel Burkhart; brothers, Bruce Burkhart of Clarksville, TN and Mark Burkhart of Charlotte, NC; sister, Sandra (Gary) Warf of Millbrook, AL; niece, Bethany (Bo) Branum; nephew, Nathan (Loren) Warf; great-niece and nephews, Jada Branum, Miles Branum, and Henry Warf.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Hilldale Church of Christ at 1:30 P.M., with visitation beginning at 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hilldale Church of Christ Tuesday Morning Lady's Class; 501 Hwy 76 Clarksville, TN 37043.
