A time to be born Our son came into this world on Wednesday, August 13, 2003, in
South Bend, Indiana capturing hearts by everyone around him.
A time to build From a young age, Robert was known for his big smile and a bigger attitude that could change in a matter of minutes. Despite his obstacles, he rose to the challenge and was a 2022 graduate from Raise Up Academy. His journey was met by genuine support from the people that surrounded him by their unwavering love especially from his mother Jamie.
A time to love Robert's life was a testament of his dedication to others. He loved to have fun and enjoy life by listening to music, dancing and spending time with his family and friends. His life really changed when he met the love of his life, De'Jah Mauricio. Robert was determined to make a better way for them. Robert and his family moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana. He worked as a Car Detail Specialist.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory his fiancé, De'Jah Mauricio and their son, Da'Meir Jamal Burnett. His parents Robert James Burnett III & Jamie Allen. His stepparents, Beverly and Will Brown; Stepfather Jerry Shaw. Grandparents, Gloria Styles, Robert & Callie Burnett. He also leaves to cherish his memories his siblings; Glorianna & Jayon Burnett, LaToia & LaTavya Jamerson all of South Bend Indiana, LaTasha Williams (Joseph) of Tampa, Fla. 3 bonus brothers: Deveron & Darius Mauricio, Elkhart, Indiana and Tajeri Crooks, Bonus mother, Jennifer Mauricio; his aunts Crystal Jennings, Daya Rouse, Ethel Banks (Kimothy) Belinda Hampton, LaTrice Burnett; Uncles: Gregory Rouse, Benjamin & Fred Burnett. Special Cousin Quai Jamerson. Robert was well known and had many friends that will miss him. There's one he could always count on, Kirah Prickett showed Robert what a best friend was all about.
A time to embrace Robert was preceded in death by his sister LaTeisha Burnett; whom he held close to his heart, his grandfather, Gregory Rouse, his favorite aunt, Michelle Styles (Kay Kay), Uncles; Charles Thorton, Sammy, Jessie, James and Charles Styles, and Great grandparents, Iasiah & Princella Styles.
A time for peace Early Sunday morning on August 4, 2024, changed our lives forever and we will never be the same. Robert James Burnett IV of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away unexpectedly at the age of 20. Though he may no longer walk among us, Robert's spirit will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will continue to inspire and uplift those who had the privilege of sharing his journey. Robert will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Just know God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalms 147:3
Funeral services for Robert will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West,
South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services.
