Robert Arthur Calvert, 70, died December 9, 2024. Bob was born September 18, 1954 in Leavenworth, Kansas to James J. and Margaret E. (Wilming) Calvert. He was a 1972 graduate of the West Platte High School in Weston, MO.
Bob was employed as an electronics technician for the better part of his career. He served in the US. Navy, serving his tour in San Diego, California and Pensacola, Florida as a Communications and Intelligence Specialist. After an early medical retirement in 1998, Robert enjoyed traveling, along with visiting with family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his father and mother, and his brothers, James Ray Calvert and Paul Edward Calvert. He is survived by siblings Judy Kennedy, Rhonda Lee Simpson and Peggy Jo Crockett, 2 daughters, Rose (Calvert) Henderson (Michael Henderson) and Carrie (Calvert) Keesler (Scott Keesler), and one son, Bryan Joseph Calvert, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Internment with military honors will be held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston, MO on February 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life gathering held at the Harper Haus in Platte City, MO at noon.
Memorial contributions can be given to the charity of one's choice.
