Rob was born January 5, 1953, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
Rob loved spending time with his family. He always looked forward to Sunday's football games, the family dinner and most of all, the football snacks. He enjoyed working in the garden and being outside watching birds. He had a great sense of humor and always had a great "dad" joke to share and witty comeback. He loved to banter with his grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents David and Margaret (Ashby) Covey; granddaughter, Olivia Hedges and siblings; Alice Covey, Beverly Downer, Richard Covey, James Covey and Debbie St. John.
Rob leaves is wife of 45 years, Laura Covey (Kremer); children, Gennifer ( Jaime) Diaz and Elizabeth (James) Hedges; three grandchildren, Jace, Jaxson and Jarod Hedges. He also leaves 6 siblings; Jack (Eleanor) Covey, Audrey (Todd) McSwain, David Gene (Jan) Covey, Steven Covey, Gary (Amy) Covey, and Tommy (Cheryl) Covey, and a host of nieces and nephews.
