Robert Davis Erickson, lovingly known as "Davis," was born May 25, 2001, and left too soon on September 1, 2024. He was known for his huge personality, best hugs, and beautiful smile that captured the hearts of everyone around him.
Davis was driven, smart, athletic, and had a sparkle in his eye that hinted at his mischievous side. He loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was decorating for Christmas, engaging in sporting events, or simply enjoying moments at the beach with his grandparents. He adored his older brother, Duke, and had a close bond with his mother, Sarah, and father, Jeffrey.
His proudest accomplishments included being a varsity soccer player and starting his own business at just 20 years old. He was the owner of Davos Genetics, specializing in tissue culture and genetic testing. A graduate of Andover High School in 2019 Davis also received extensive training in plant science, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for his work.
Davis had a passion for everything he did—whether it was snowboarding on the slopes, traveling, or exploring the great outdoors with family.
Davis leaves behind a loving family, including his mother Sarah, father Jeffrey, brother Duke, grandmother Pam, uncle Greg, aunts Erin and Rebecca, and cousins Carter, Taylor, and Ansley. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Richard "Papa" Ewy, Joan "Podie" Ewy, and Robert "Grandpa Bob" Erickson, and extended family.
A Celebration of Life reception for family and friends will take place on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cozine Life Events Center in Wichita, KS. Davis will be remembered fondly for his loyalty, creativity, and the genuine love he shared with everyone. His spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
