Robert Gamble

Robert J. "Bob" Gamble, age 73, passed away March 12, 2024, with his family by his side at his home in New Carlisle, Indiana. Bob was born August 7, 1950, in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Chester and Leoka Sue (Mallet) Gamble. He was a graduate of New Prairie High School, and was employed as a propane gas delivery driver, retiring from Co-Alliance Propane after 40 years of service. On October 31, 1970, Bob married Cindy Godfrey in Dowagiac, Michigan. They recently celebrated fifty-three years of marriage.
Bob is survived by his wife Cindy Gamble of New Carlisle and their children Jeffrey Joe Gamble of Galien, Michigan, Robert "Robbie" Gamble, and Tracie Leeann Gamble, both of New Carlisle and his mother, Leoka Sue Gamble. Surviving as well are six grandchildren: Austin (Ashely) Gamble, Greg (Desiree) Gamble, Emma Gamble, Cheyanne Brown, Dillon Escobedo and Dalton Escobedo, along with his siblings Gary (Pat) Gamble, Marsha (Louie) Oldham, Bill (Susie) Gamble, Deb Gamble and Pam (Greg) Thompson. He was preceded in death by his brother Doug Gamble and his daughters in law Amy Gamble and Sherri Gamble.
A celebration of life will be held at 2pm on April 13, 2024, at the home of Louie and Marsha Oldham; 50557 Timothy Road, New Carlisle, IN 46552. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola, Indiana has been entrusted with his care.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, coon hunting and mushroom hunting in all of his favorite secret spots. He also loved to work in his garden, drive his tractor and work on the family farm. Bob also enjoyed traveling with Cindy, especially to visit with family in Southern Indiana and Florida.
