Robert J. Goodman

March 8, 1931– March 3, 2025

Robert J. Goodman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, has ventured home to be with his Heavenly Father. He passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025 at the age of 93. Born in Louisville, KY, to Robert and Clara (Bieker) Goodman, he lived a life filled with love of family, service, and a passion for music.

A devoted husband to Maxine Goodman, with whom he shared an incredible 72 years of marriage and a beautiful life raising six children: Michael, Brenda (predeceased), Joy (Chuck), Mark (Danielle), Leigh Ann (Mark) and Lori (widowed).

A proud veteran, Robert honorably served his country in the United States Navy. His love for music led him to play in various bands throughout his life, sharing his talent and bringing happiness to many.

A Saint Xavier high school and University of Louisville graduate with a lifelong passion for roller skating, while gliding through life with the same grace and enthusiasm that he brought to everything he did.

Robert will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering love for family, and the music he shared with the world. His memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Epiphany Catholic Church (914 Old Harrods Creek Rd, Louisville, KY 40223) visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of mass at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Middletown Historic Cemetery (302 Old Harrods Creek Rd, Middletown, KY 40243).
