Robert D. Griner, 83, of Debary, FL, formerly of Anderson, IN, passed away on August 7, 2025. He was born on September 3, 1941, in Greensburg, IN, the son of Paul A. and Helen (Williams) Griner Bob graduated from North Vernon High School, and upon graduating he moved to Anderson. He worked for General Motors, and retired after 30 years of service. Bob also joined the Edgewood Fire Department in 1970, receiving a Masters of Firefighters Certification in 1977. He became an arson investigator and was the Edgewood Fire Department Chief from 2013-2015. He liked fishing, deer hunting, and playing cards. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Beaver; son, Todd Griner; step-daughters, Donnetta Tumulty and Donnesa (Steve) Bilyeu; grandchildren, Jaycee (Eric) Mey, Kaycee Tumulty, Matthew Bilyeu, and Michael (Erin) Bilyeu; and five great-grandchildren. Also, surviving is his brother, Richard (Gordell) Griner of Butler, IN, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, IN. Services will follow visitation at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Ned Clark officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park. www.LooseCares.com.
