92, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, at McLaren Macomb Hospital, Mt. Clemens.
Robert was born July 4, 1930, the son of the late Roy and Nelly (McWilliams) Keating.
His marriage to Mary Brown was Saturday, December 19, 1953, in Tipton, Indiana. They were married for 65 years. Mary passed away in 2018.
Robert served in the United States Navy from 1948-1951.
He was a preacher at the First Baptist Church of Richmond for over 50 years. He enjoyed camping, going to the gym for senior boxing, sitting on his porch swing, and, most importantly, spending time with his family.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Keating; three grandchildren, Mike (Jenelle) Jackson, Scott (Shannon) Jackson, Julie (Jason) Woody; eight great-grandchildren, Damian, Harley, Dominic, Blake, Mya, the twins, Emma & Lexi, and Magenta; great-great-grandchild, Rose.
Robert is preceded in death by a son, Dennis Keating and two sisters, Jeanette Keating and Joan Becker.
The family honors the memory of Robert and invites you to visit and share memories Friday, May 5, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Ezekiel Project Inc., Richmond. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to "Wishes of the Family".
