Robert "Rob" M. Krodel, 53, of Avon, beloved husband and father, passed away with loving family by his side on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Rob was born in Ridgewood, NJ, in November of 1972, son to Manfred H. and Frances J. (Murray) Krodel.
Rob was raised in Ridgewood, NJ, graduating from St. Joseph in Montevale, NJ in 1991. He continued his education, first attending Boston College, then transferring to and earning a BA from Seton Hall. Robert began his career as a CPA working for Deloitte & Touche in NJ, Ernst & Young in Boston, then United Technologies/Raytheon and Otis Elevator in CT.
Rob was a firearms enthusiast who enjoyed going to the range to test his skills with friends. He was also a history buff and liked reading military accounts and historical fiction books. Rob loved to make time to travel to new breweries to explore his interest in and knowledge of craft beers, particularly enjoying IPAs. He was a movie buff, well known for quoting his favorite lines from classic films. Lastly, a lover of music, Rob was known for his singing voice and his enjoyment of music, attending many concerts over the years with Kim and the kids.
Robert will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Kim M. Krodel, sons Reed and Bryce Krodel, and daughter Max Krodel with significant other Avi Obie; his dear mother, Frances Krodel, and brother James with wife Julie Krodel of Villa Park, CA; aunt Helen and her husband Joachim Nitz of PA; nephews Nate Marcus, Andrew Krodel and Grant Krodel; cousins Christina and husband Jason Tickner, and Martina and husband Christopher Heppner, as well as many special friends and acquaintances. Rob was predeceased by his father, Manfred Krodel, with whom he shared a close and lasting bond.
