Robert Richard Locke, known affectionately to his friends and family as Bobby, passed away peacefully in his birthplace of Indianapolis, IN. Born on October 4, 1956, to the late Robert S. & Elizabeth M. (Rugh) Locke.
Bobby was a proud graduate of Franklin High School, where he formed friendships and memories that lasted a lifetime. His career began at BGI, where he excelled as a salesman and mechanic, sharing his extensive knowledge and infectious enthusiasm for all things mechanical with his colleagues and customers alike. Bobby's career path later led him to St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.
Outside of work, Bobby's adventurous spirit shone brightest. He was an avid cyclist, embracing both road and off-road challenges with equal zeal. His love for cycling was more than a hobby; it was a way of life that kept him fit, happy, and connected to a community of fellow enthusiasts.
Bobby is survived by his siblings, Thomas A. Locke, Steven M. Locke, and Teri-Jo Duke.
Those who knew Bobby will remember him as a friend who was always there with a smile and a helping hand, and an adventurer who never shied away from a challenge. His passing leaves a void in the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him, but his spirit of adventure and his legacy of kindness will continue to live on in the many lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00pm, Friday, October 4th at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main St. Greenwood, IN.

Bob, not only was a great team member, but he was an exceptional individual. He always wore a smile and always willing to help other team members. As his director, I could only wish to have a total team of employees that would mirror Bob. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
