Robert C. Losnes

Robert C. Losnes, 75, husband of Rae Losnes, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Hartford Hospital after a long illness.
Born in New Haven, CT on December 15, 1949, he was the son of the late Robert G. Losnes and Ann M. Losnes. He resided in West Haven, CT and attended West Haven Schools. Robert was employed by Pratt & Whitney for 44 years and retired in December of 2012. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Meriden.
Robert was spiritual in his own way and walked his own path. He loved to fish. He enjoyed television series that told a story and enjoyed a conversation on almost every subject. He was knowledgeable of a great variety of things.
Besides his wife, Rae, he is survived by his daughter, Sara Losnes Vickery; his two grandchildren, Robert Frederickson of Meriden and Crystal Gurga of South Carolina and his two sisters, Sheran Sullivan and Marcia Messina, both of West Haven. He is also survived by a special mention for a daughter of his heart, Giovana Correa, for all the times she made him laugh and helped him get through a difficult day and his four nephews. He was predeceased by his nephew Paul Michael Messing.
