Robert "Bob" McCardle, 64, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
Robert Lynn McCardle was born January 11, 1961, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Robert and Bonnie McCardle. He attended school in Carter Lake and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1979. In 1981, he married Jennifer Lester. They had two children, Ryan and Katie, and later divorced.
Bob owned Registered Printing for several years and worked at various print shops throughout his career. He joined Perfection Press, where he worked until retiring in 2024.
Bob had a deep love for his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. He enjoyed sharing stories of their time together. He also loved to spend time with his dogs Chantel, Gunner, and Bowser. He was passionate about gardening and had recently planted several trees, with plans for a large garden at his son's acreage. He also enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, and fishing. Bob will be remembered for his kindness and his ability to make friends wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert McCardle and Bonnie Pope, and his sister Dawn McCardle.
He is survived by his son Ryan (Erin) McCardle of Council Bluffs and their children Robert, Margaret, and Bonnie; his daughter Katie (Jesse) Shea of Council Bluffs and their children Kinley and Jett; his stepfather Michal Pope; brothers Bill and Paul McCardle; sisters Sue (Gary) Sova and Debbie Levell; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, November 7, from 2:00 p.m.to 3:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 9, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at The Grand Venue, 4040 South Expressway in Council Bluffs. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family via hoyfuneral.com, and memorials will be directed by the family.
