MORTON – Robert "Bob" McFeeters, 96, of Morton, formerly of Washington, passed away December 9, 2024, at Reflections Memory Care in Morton. He was born on October 22, 1928, in Decatur, Illinois, to Benjamin and Elva (Glasgow) McFeeters. Bob married Marlys Reeter on August 26, 1950, in Normal, Illinois. Surviving are his wife, Marlys McFeeters of Morton; Brian (Peggy) McFeeters, Bill (Lori) McFeeters and Jim McFeeters. Bob was a United States veteran, having retired from the Air Force. Bob graduated with his bachelor's degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and his master's degree from the University of Illinois, he was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity. He worked for Rayovac Corporation in Wisconsin before working as a research engineer for 27 years at Caterpillar. Bob was a member of Morton Methodist Church and the Jaycees. He was also a Cub Scout leader. Cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Runners' Association.
