Robert G. "Bob" Murray Jr.

Robert "Bob", "Bopa" G. Murray Jr., age, 67 of the Erie area, passed away on Thursday August 7, 2025, at UPMC – Hamot Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born in Erie on November 9, 1957, a son of the late Robert G. and Margaret (Szymanski) Murray.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Michelle Murray and one nephew.

Bob proudly served his country in the US Army, as a member of the National Guard where he was a Staff Sargent. He was a member of the Albion American Legion, loved the outdoors and classic cars.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Krebs) Murray, whom he was with for over 31 years; one sister Deb Burnett and her husband Buddy; three brothers-in-law, Tim, Terry and Scott Krebs; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Paparelli and Stephanie Davis; three stepchildren, Michael Keller, Stacey Keller Arndt (Brad) and Melissa Keller. He is further survived by eight grandchildren, Brittney Learn (Daniel), Jordan Higby Capwill (Kyle), MJ Keller (Maggie), Brandon Keller, Makensey Kauffmann, Elizabeth Arndt, Joseph Torok and Kyleigh Torok and two great-grandchildren, Cayden and Taytum Capwill.
