Robert (Bob) Saffin, age 85, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024, surrounded by family. Bob was born on November 25, 1938, to William and Dorothy Saffin. Bob lived a full life, and accomplished many things, but he felt that his greatest accomplishment was his marriage of 63 years to Judy. He was the loving father of Robert (Lesley Hammer) Saffin Jr. and Jeffrey (Raquel) Saffin, brother of the late William Saffin, dear grandfather of Mackenzie, Madison, Macko, Elizabeth, William and Maria.
Bob grew up in Mt. Washington and graduated from Anderson High School in 1956. After high school he served in the Air Force as a mechanic. Returning to Cincinnati, he attended The University of Cincinnati and started his career as an electrical engineer. Bob married the love of his life Judy and made the Mt. Washington/Anderson Township area his home for the rest of his years.Bob was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and truly a kind soul. He felt as though it was his responsibility to make people smile and laugh. That sense of humor and quick wit is one of the reasons Bob was so loved by his family and friends. What's not to love about a guy that would carry a can of beer in his pocket "just in case".
He will be truly missed.
