Robert J. Salow

Robert J. Salow, age 86, of Harborcreek Twp., passed away peacefully, on Sunday, December 24, 2023, following an extended illness. He was born in Erie on April 22, 1937, the son of the late Robert J., Sr. and Laura (Heibel) Salow.
Bob was a 1955 graduate of the former Tech Memorial High School. He was previously employed by Zurn Industries for 29 years and retired from International Paper Co. Bob was gifted with the ability to build or fix anything. He built one of his own homes, renovated/remodeled other homes, and expertly refurbished the family hunting camp in Garland. In addition to carpentry and woodworking, he also enjoyed hunting, following his grandchildren's high school sporting activities, and coaching Harbor Creek Little League in years past.
Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Salow.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Carolyn E. (Held) Salow; his four children: Steven Salow (Lynn), Beth Salow, Amy Sheridan (Dave), and Laura Salow; two grandsons: Ryan Sheridan, and Dan Sheridan (Erin); four great-grandchildren: Morgan, Maya, McKenzie, and Wesley; one brother, Richard Salow (Calene); one sister-in-law, Penny Salow; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.), on Saturday, Dec. 30th from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service to be conducted there at 4:00 p.m. by the Rev. David Roach. A private interment will be held at a later date at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
