Robert David Spreen of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on October 10, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on January 15, 1960, in Cincinnati, David was known for his love of the outdoors, particularly hunting. In his youth, he excelled in various sports, including basketball, golf, and track and field. David had a lifelong passion for spending time by the pool and at the beach, cherishing these moments of tranquility. He had worked in the banking industry for many years.
An individual who valued simplicity, David found comfort in the little things in life. When it came to meal choices, his unwavering favorite was pizza, with Angelos being his top pick. To his nieces and nephews, he was affectionately known as "Uncle hot pepper," a playful moniker that reflected his warm and lively personality.
David is survived by his loving family, including his spouse Marie Spreen, children Rachael (Matt) Cherko and Stephen (Amanda) Spreen, grandchildren Griffin, Bruce, Oscar, Ava, and Theo, as well as his father Robert Spreen and brother Jim (Julie) Spreen. He also leaves behind cherished relatives including his in-laws Rose (Ray) LoDato, Will Oliveira, Theresa Oliveira, and Tony (Cindy) Oliveira, each of whom held a special place in his heart. A very special fur buddy is Ronnie.
David was preceded in death by: his mother Mildred Spreen and brother-in-law Carl Oliveira.
In remembrance of David, a memorial gathering, and service will take place at the Evans Funeral Home, Goshen on Wednesday October 16, 2024, beginning at 2:30pm until time of services at 4:00pm. Though he may no longer walk among us, David's spirit will forever be remembered and treasured by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
