He graduated from Seagraves High School and attended Texas Tech University before joining the U.S. Army, serving in Germany. He was a loyal employee of El Paso Natural Gas Co. for 38 years, known for his integrity and dependability. In retirement he enjoyed fishing and had season tickets to Brownwood Lions football games. He also loved spending time with his wife and grandchildren.

He was married to the love of his life, Tommie LaJoy Tudor, for 38 years, inheriting her two grown children, and establishing a home in Brownwood, Texas. After his wife's passing, he began going to the Senior Citizen's Center, where he became a volunteer, which he enjoyed very much. Bob also enjoyed traveling with Norma and several of his closest friends, to various places, including concerts and country dancing. He was known as a kind and gentle man and very respectful to others. Bob and Norma attended Rocky Creek Baptist Church for many years, and enjoyed various church activities.

He is survived by his sister Reta and husband Michael D. Whorton and stepdaughter Cheri Hale and Stepson Michael McCulloch; step grandchildren, David & Becky Hale, Rodney & Nevelle McCulloch, LaJoy and Todd Amthor and Jaime Hale, and nine great grandchildren.
