Robert Werking Obituary

He attended Anderson High School and joined the U.S. Navy when he was 17 years old. He became a Medical Corpsman in Bethesda Maryland from 1947-1949. He later became an electrician for Globe Electric.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Werking; his parents, Carl (Edna "Ferol") Werking; and his brother Richard Werking.
He is survived by his son, Roger (Lynn) Werking of Florida; and his daughter, Tammy (David) Hiday, of Indiana. He has three grandchildren, Nathan Werking, Timothy Werking, and Krystle Kenfield. He also has six great-grandchildren.
He was an avid Pacers Basketball fan, enjoyed woodworking and sailing. He also enjoyed making small wooden crosses to give away.
Robert will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife on September 20th at 1 pm at Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield, Indiana, with Pastor Don Billey officiating the graveside services.
Memorial contributions in Robert's honor may be made to the American Red Cross.
