Robert Eugene Wrestler Jr. ended his fight with esophageal cancer on July 4th, 2024. He passed peacefully in his sleep at home surrounded by his family. Robert was born January 5th, 1948, in Chanute Kansas to Robert Eugene Wrestler Sr. and Boneta Wrestler. The family moved to Owasso, OK where Robert grew up. He graduated form Owasso High School and attended both Northeastern State College and Oklahoma State University. Robert married his high school sweetheart Janet Feland on September 3rd, 1968. Just last year they celebrated 55 wonderful years of marriage. Robert enlisted in the United States Navy in January 1969 where he served and defended his country honorably for 8 years. Robert was preceded in death by his brother Ronald "Ronnie" Wrestler and his father Robert Eugene Wrestler Sr.
Robert is survived by his wife Janet (Feland) Wrestler, mother Bonnie Wrestler, sister Connie Eustace, daughter Batavia Russell, son Robert Eugene Wrestler III and 3 granddaughters Halie, Catherine and Rosie.
Robert will be buried with military honors at 10am Monday July 15th at Memorial Park East Cemetery in Chanute Kansas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home of Chanute, Kansas.
