Roberta "Bobbie" Mae Lake, a beacon of unwavering kindness and love, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on November 13, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on September 23, 1938, in Yakima, Washington, to the late Clayton Larson and Monabelle Keiper, Bobbie grew into a woman of faith and service, qualities that would become the hallmark of her life.

Bobbie's early years were spent in the scenic vistas of Yakima, where she cultivated a lifelong appreciation for the natural world. Her love for the outdoors was only matched by her commitment to caring for others, a calling that led her to a distinguished service in the US Navy as a Nurse. It was during her time in the service that she met her beloved husband, John Lake. Together, they built a life founded on mutual respect and adoration, a union that flourished for 58 years until John's passing.

Bobbie's legacy is lovingly carried on by her devoted children, Gloria (David) Marlowe, John (Tammy) Lake, Kathy (John) Schatz, and Daniel (Dawn) Lake. She was the cherished matriarch to a large and vibrant family, including her grandchildren, Justin, Spencer, Eric, Adam, Jennifer, Britton, Nickolas, Julia, Sarah, Carter, Daniel, Seth, Natalie, and Renner, as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Lucy, Hattie, Henry, Oliver, Georgia, Callie, Molly, Spencer, Parker, Ezra, Lincoln, Hudson, Jack, Charlie, Andy, Johnny, Sam, Wesley, Ellie, Harvey, Piper, Amelia, Palmer, Olivia, Brooks, August, Liam, Dylan, Scotty, and one anticipated arrival.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Noreene, Aldora, Durand, Clair, Alta, Jim, and Paul.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bobbie lived her faith through action, always extending a hand to those in need. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and generosity. A skilled quilter, she lovingly crafted quilts for all 14 grandchildren, bestowing these handmade treasures upon them on her 80th birthday-a testament to her dedication to family and tradition.

Bobbie's talents extended beyond her needlework; her hands were rarely still, often found tending to her garden or adding to her remarkable collection of rocks and shells.

A perfect day for Bobbie was one surrounded by family and friends, the air filled with laughter and the creation of cherished memories. She believed that family was everything and lived every day to ensure each member felt that profound love and connection.

Bobbie's journey through life was a testament to the power of love and the beauty of a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed but remembered forever.
