Robin Linda Simmons

Robin Linda Simmons has gone home to be with her lord and savior. She was surrounded by family. Her son stayed with her until the end at 3:00 PM on December 22, 2024 in the Reading Hospital.
Born to the late Martha and Buford Simmons in Fort Valley, GA on Aug 12, 1957. She was the eldest of seven children. She departed this life after a long battle of sickness.
Robin was a registered nurse for over 50 years of her life. She accomplished many goals in the medical profession at St. Joseph Medical Hospital. She was part of the medical team for 40 years and left to further her professional career at Lehigh Valley Medical Center until the decline of her health.
Robin graduated from Reading Senior High School in 1974. Later, she went on to pursue her career in the medical field graduating from Reading Area Community College in 1980 with honors. She loved her profession and gave her all to be the best nurse possible. Robin continued her education throughout the years. She loved to learn all she could as times changed. Medical courses and procedures intrigued her incredible mind. Robin has received many honors during the school years. She stood out academically in every way.
She loved to cook, bake, knit, crochet and, to say the least, go shopping. She had a very expensive taste. She showed her love for the finer things with her family and friends. She enjoyed adventures so long as she didn't have to go far from home. Her cats meant the world to her. She was a good at gardening as well something she learned early in life from her parents plants by the dozens all over her home. She loves the Jackson Five Family especially the talented Michael and Anita Baker. Anything to make a home feel like home. She had a deep love for smelly goods such as candles and while enjoying sales. She wanted to make a big deal about these things they brought joy to her and all around her.
Robin leaves to cherish her beloved and only son, Aaron Benjamin Simmons, with whom she resided. In addition to her son, her wonderful cat, Jack Simmons. Along with her siblings, Regina L. Cabera of Mechanicsburg, PA, Michele A. Simmons of Reading, PA, David R. Simmons of Atlanta, GA and Anthony B Simmons of Reading PA. Along with a host of nieces and nephews whom she adored especially Seleda and December, both of which she had part in naming. She showed her love in many different ways to them all.
Robin was predeceased by her mother, Martha A. Simmons and father, Buford Simmons. A baby brother, Buford A. Simmons and her sister, Bonita F. Jones, her loving sidekick. In addition to her maternal grandparents, Fozzalie Jackson, SB Jackson, Emma and Cyrus Simmons.
Robin will be forever in our hearts, the devoted woman she was. Mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and dear friend will be sadly missed but honored and cherished by all who love her.
Funeral Services for Robin will be held on Friday, January 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc, 5153 Kutztown Rd, Temple, PA 19560, with committal to follow at Laureldale Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to gather for visitation and viewing from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the services at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
