Funeral services for Rodney Jack Britton will be held Monday, February 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Last Chance Baptist Church north of Okemah. Interment will follow at the Welty Cemetery.
Rodney Jack Britton was born July 28, 1968, to Harvey Jack Britton and Loretta Faye (McReynolds) Lyons in Frederick, Oklahoma. He passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in Bristow, Oklahoma at the age of 56.
Rodney grew up in Frederick, Oklahoma and was a 1987 graduate of Frederick High School. Rodney was a retired corrections officer. He loved hunting, O.U. football, and especially his grandkids. On June 27, 1992, Rodney married Amy Michelle Brady in Lawton, Oklahoma. Rodney and Amy have been Okemah residents since 2008 and attended the Last Chance Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Rodney Britton.
Survivors include one son, Trenton Harmon and husband Cody of North Carolina; four daughters, Stephanie and Jason Friedman of Okemah, Kloe Britton of Okemah, Addreonna and Joshua Bostwick of Seminole, Oklahoma, and Karissa Britton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Rylan Britton, Emmilyn Mogridge, and Junior (JR) Mogridge; and one sister, Lavada McReynolds of Lawton, Oklahoma.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Vanderslice, Jason Friedman, Eric York, Mike Spangler, Austin Hope, and Mike Choate.
Honorary bearers include Matt Freeman and Kristian Alexander.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.
And officiated by Rev. Donald Baker.
