MORENCI – Roger Bucklew, age 76, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 25, 1948, in Adrian to the late LeRoy and Lillian (Snyder) Bucklew. Roger graduated from Adrian High School and furthered his education, attaining an Associate degree. He spent the majority of his life married to Sherry, and though the marriage ended, they remained great friends. Roger was a gentle and kind soul who loved to spend time with his family – who describe him as the rock of the family. In his free time, he enjoyed writing poetry, camping, and fishing. He set records in high school for the highest pole vault.
To cherish his memory, Roger leaves his daughters, Shelley LeeAnn Bucklew, Shelby (Scott) Miller, and Sheena (Richard) Barr; grandchildren: Matthew Feneley, Christopher Feneley, Nathan Feneley, Destiny Conley, Priscilla Pharion, Lilly Pharion, Emery Miller, Ivy Miller, Braylin Barr, Jaxon Barr, Kasen Barr, and Jessica Vincent; and great grandchildren: Myla, Mayvan, MJ, Jaden, Latham, Kyler, and Bradyn; and a sister, Carol Carter.
In addition to his parents LeRoy and Lillian, Roger was preceded in death by his step-dad, Kenneth Ostrander, and brothers, Robert and Ric Bucklew.
