Roger Hunley age 79 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, June 10, 2024 in Magoffin County, Kentucky. He was born June 20, 1944 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Bracken and Audley Adams Hunley.
Survived by his wife, Maxine Gamble Hunley, two sons, Joey (Chantelle) Hunley, Roger (Shawna) Hunley, Jr., both of Salyersville, Kentucky, two daughters, Debra (Eric) Marshall of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Donna (Kenny) Isaac of Salyersville, Kentucky, twelve grandchildren, Ashley (Eric) Pelfrey of West Liberty, Kentucky, Kayla (Josh) Ritz of Salyersville, Kentucky, Chad Hunley of Salyersville, Kentucky, Blake (Ashley) Isaac, Tanner (Polly) Hunley of Salyersville, Kentucky, Cody (Chelsea) Hunley of Salyersville, Kentucky, Adam Marshall of Wilmington, North Carolina, Chase (Desiree) Hunley of Salyersville, Kentucky, Charles (Stella) Marshall of Charlotte, North Carolina, Christopher Marshall of Nashville, Tennessee, Kristen (Blake) Compton of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Blake Helton of Lexington, Kentucky, and sixteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by one infant daughter, Geneva Hunley, four brothers, Beecher Hunley, Hager Hunley, Herbert Hunley, Bradley Hunley, and one sister Tressie Stephens.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 13, 2024 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Teddy Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow at the Brushy Fork Cemetery, Salyersville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
