Hoffman Funeral Home and CrematoryRoger Lynn Myers 67 of Newville passed away peacefully at his home on October 6, 2025, with his wife by his side.
Roger was born in Carlisle, PA on Saturday March 1, 1958, to the late Elmer M. Myers and Doris J. (Thumma) Myers.
Roger grew up in Carlisle and attended Big Spring High School. In 1976 he decided to proudly serve his county and joined the U.S. Marine Corp. Roger had numerous talents and varied work experiences throughout his life. His career path left him to become a Water Treatment Plant Operator at Land O’ Lakes in Mount Holly, where he worked for over 32 years. Roger had a passion for gardening and working on family projects. He often spent his weekends and days of working with his brothers or helping his mother on “things that needed to get done”. Roger’s work ethic and sense of humor touched everyone who knew him. His friends and family remember him as a hardworking individual who knew there was a right and wrong way of doing things.
Roger was a devoted husband and good friend and is survived by his loving wife Terri, his mother Doris Myers, his brothers: Elmer “Jim” Myers, Herbert “Herb” Myers and Dale Myers, his sister-in-law’s Anne Myers and Marita Myers, his nieces Elizabeth “Elly” Myers, Julia Myers, Joanna Myers, and his nephew Dan Myers, his cousins, other family, and friends.
