Rokisha Lakisha Rover, peacefully departed this earthly home for her Heavenly Home at Hospice of the Piedmont, High Point on September 26, 2025. Rokisha was surrounded by love and prayer as she took her eternal flight. Rokisha was born in Rocky Mount NC (Enfield) NC on August 5, 1975, to the late Ross Rover and Dorothy Stallings Rover.
Rokisha graduated from Northwest High School in 1993 and received her Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina Central University in May 1998. As a child, Rokisha expressed a strong desire to work in the health care industry as she always demonstrated a passion for assisting others. In her youth she attended Ivory Hill Baptist Church where she received salvation. In 2006 Rokisha joined Mount Zion Baptist Church,
Greensboro, NC where she served faithfully as a Dream Team Volunteer active in many ministries for over 20 years. Rokisha used all her gifts and talents to bring Glory to God. She was a member of the Dance Ministry; a dance instructor to the pre-kindergarten babies, served in Imagine Kingdom, and assisted with the Girl Scouts. Rokisha was blessed with so many gifts; she used her medical expertise as a dedicated member of the Health and Wellness Ministry as well.
Her passion for nursing came as a little girl and continued throughout her lifetime. She was always concerned about the well-being of her loved ones, providing constant care when needed. Rokisha found her niche in life while working for Hospice & Palliative Care for 17 years. She served both the
Greensboro, NC and High Point NC facilities. Rokisha was an expert in her field and became the trainer to the new hires.
After Rokisha's diagnosis with Breast Cancer, she became an active member of Sisters Network Organiza-tion of Greensboro for 12 years where she served as the recording secretary.
Rokisha was preceded in death by her father Ross Rover and brother Terry Rover.
The cherished memories of Rokisha's life and legacy will remain with her devoted loving husband, Anani D.Quinnino D'almeida, daughter Ra'miyah Jakora' Simrel of Greensboro, Mother Dorothy Stallings Rover of Greensboro. bile Alabama, Keith Rover (Kemberly), Charlotte, NC, Reginald Harper (Tracie), Winston Salem, NC, Rodney
Rover, and Berry Rover, Raleigh NC. Six sisters, Karen Jones (Randy), Rosalind Williams, Frederick MD (Tyrone), Zebulon, NC, Angela Hubbard (Adrian), Tameka Brown, Tracey Wiggins (Karl) Mobile Alabama, and Kimberly Wiggins (Mica) Tampa FL, and Tameka Brown (Darren) Kernersville, NC. Also to mourn her loss
two special aunts Thelma Henderick, and Ethel Brinson, one Uncle Cleveland Stallings of Enfield, NC and a host of nieces and nephews and her special loving and devoted friend Jennifer Miller. Rokisha's friends will miss her presence dearly.
A Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October, 2nd 2025 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church starting at 11:30, with visitation starting prior at 11am
