Roland Andrew Miller passed away on August 20, 2025 at the age of 97. In 1951, he married Dawn Marie Miller (Batterbee) and they were married for 72 years before her passing in December, 2024.
Roland served his country in the United State Air Force from 1946-1949. He attended church at the Missionary Church and Faith Bible Church, Lansing, MI, and Community Bible Church, Avon Park, FL. He loved wood-working and made so many beautiful pieces throughout his life. Roland thoroughly enjoyed playing solitaire, and solving even the toughest crossword puzzles.
Roland is survived by his 5 children, Alyce (David) Clark, Virginia aka Ginger (Philip) Marks, David (Cindy) Miller, Steven Miller, and Valerie (Steve) Fisher; 8 grandchildren, Jason McCook, Jeremy, Teresa, and Jessica Miller, Kimberly (Dr. Eric) Hartman, Nathan (Sarah) and Shaina (Mark) Goldbeck; and 14 great-grandchildren, Kieran and Isaiah Miller, Daniel and Amiyah Robertson, Kiyan and Kameron McGrew, Isabella and Emily Permoda, Ryan, JJ, and Timothy Hartman, Lexi, Lily, and Blake Miller.
He is preceded in death by loving wife, Dawn Miller, his parents, Edward and Alice (Ring) Miller, and grandson, Robert Miller.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 27 at 11:00 AM at Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes Delta Chapel, with Elder James Hennessey of Faith Bible Church officiating. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 10:00 AM until the time of service.
