Ronald Edward Barzyk, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in Arlington, Texas.

Born on March 6, 1945, in Endicott, New York, Ron was the son of Ralph and Anna Barzyk. He grew up in Owego, New York, where he developed a love for the outdoors and fishing, interests that remained with him throughout his life.

Ron proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. From 1966 to 1972, he served as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War, stationed in Kunsan, South Korea. For his honorable service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.

On September 10, 1967, Ron married the love of his life, Mary Elizabeth Rottman. Together, they built a beautiful life and lovingly raised three sons.

On June 1, 1973, Ron began his career at DFW Airport, where he served with loyalty and dedication for 43 years. He was admired by colleagues for his integrity and strong work ethic. A man of deep faith, Ron was a longtime member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, where he faithfully served as an usher. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus and began his lifelong commitment to service in his youth as a Boy Scout.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Barzyk; his brother, Robert Barzyk; and his parents, Ralph and Anna Barzyk.

He is survived by his three sons: Robert Barzyk and wife Michal, Christopher Barzyk, and John Barzyk and wife Amy; as well as ten treasured grandchildren: Claudia, Abigail and husband Corbin, Reagan, Rachel, Jack, Gavin, Samuel, Nicholas, Elin, and Luke.

Ron will be remembered for his devotion to family, his steadfast faith, and his life of service. His quiet strength, steady presence, and deep love will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
