Ronald Leroy Blystone, 76, of Creekside, passed away on May 3, 2025 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
He was born on October 15, 1948 to Roy and Annebelle (Cribbs) Blystone in Creekside, PA.
Ronald worked for Starr Manufacturing, Inc. for 20 years and was a part-time mason. After his retirement, Ronald began his own taxidermy business known as Blystone Taxidermy. He was a skilled blacksmith who used his skills to craft knives. Ronald enjoyed working on his farm, making hay, hunting, and helping others. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Lois (Marshall), sons, Edward (Michelle), David (Laura), and Jeff (Melissa) Blystone; grandchildren, Kacy (Parker) Stupic, Kelli (Chad) Fritz, Angela (Brandon) Heberling, Scott (Laura) Blystone, Nathan (Tia) Blystone, Morgan Blystone (Joe), and Dalton Adkins; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Janet (Tim) Silvis, Randy (Rona) Blystone, and William (George) Blystone; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ethel (Jack) and Bernice Delancey; and a brother, John (Peggy) Blystone.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, 724 W. Main Street, Rural Valley, PA, 16249. An additional hour of visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 10 am to 11 am with a funeral service to immediately follow from the funeral home with Pastor Arlene Schweitzer, officiating.
Burial will take place in the St. John's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
