Ronald (Ron/Ronnie) Flecha, a beloved Puerto Rican, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024, in Austin Texas. He was born on August 20, 1950, in Manhattan New York to Placido Flecha and Rosa Reinosa Flecha. His family would later return to Humacao, Puerto Rico where he attended secondary and college. Throughout his life, Ron was known for his unwavering strength, compassionate spirit, and infectious energy.
Having lived in both New York, and Puerto Rico, Ron was always surrounded by vibrant cultures which would be reflected throughout his life. He cherished his roots and displayed a deep appreciation for his heritage in all aspects of his life.
In his youth and well into adulthood, Ron embarked on the journey of life filled with ambition and determination. He pursued his dreams with fervor, always striving for excellence in every endeavor. Whether in his career, or relationships, Ron approached life with a sense of purpose, kindness, and dedication.
Professionally, Ron made significant contributions to the automotive industry as the Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for General Motors in Puerto Rico, overseeing over 30 countries across Central and South America. His impact continued after moving to Texas and serving the American Southwest in the same role. His hard work and expertise were admired by colleagues and clients alike. He leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, integrity, and much success.
Ron lived life to the fullest and found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed cooking, reading, and had an avid passion for movies. Ron was fascinated by nature and politics, and loved listening to and playing music, but most of all he loved to dance. He was a world traveler and loved exploring various cultures.
Ron will be remembered most for his unwavering love and devotion to his family and friends. He was a pillar of strength, offering guidance, support, and unconditional love and respect to those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Ron leaves behind a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will be cherished by his beloved wife Gloria, daughter Samia Zoe, two sons Ronald and Daniel, brother Edwin and a host of other family and friends. Ron touched many who will forever be inspired by his remarkable life and legacy.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held on April 19, 2024, at Beck Funeral Home located at 15709 RR 620 Austin, Texas 78717. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in honor of Ron's memory, and his strong advocacy for the care and wellbeing of young children.
Though Ron may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories he created in his lifetime.

Gloria,
I´m so sorry to see where Ron passed. I was looking on line to see what some of my old friends were doing and ran across this. I always liked and respected Ron very much. Brends and I offer our deepest condolences.
