Ronald John Jakubec Jr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, was called home on July 31, 2024 at the age of 58 while on a leisurely business trip with his wife in Germany. He was born on January 31, 1966 in Warren, Ohio and most recently resided in Oak Hills, California.
Ron was a devoted husband to Elizabeth Jakubec, his loving wife of 32 years. Together they raised five children beginning in Wellington, Ohio where the family resided for 14 years. He lived for his family and it was shown daily in his actions. His greatest delight was being a father and grandfather and he loved his family dearly.
Ron received his Bachelor of Science in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1990. He began his career with the Ford Motor Company and was with them for 17 years in various capacities. He went on to become a Plant Manager for Hussmann which moved him from Ohio to New York, California, Kentucky and then back to California where he resided until his passing. In 2015 he purchased an emissions manufacturing company, Webber EMI, where he worked as Owner and General Manager. This afforded him several new opportunities to spend time with the family he loved so much.
Ron was a lifelong golf enthusiast and spent much time enjoying the game with his sons as well as coaching high school for several years. He loved watching his children perform in their various athletic and musical activities and was the proudest of fathers when doing so. Some other hobbies of his included: racquetball, chess, maintaining his pool and yard, stock watching and financial planning to name a few. Ron took it upon himself to pass down his financial literacy to his children and encouraged continual learning. He was well known for his generosity, of which his family and friends were continuous recipients. Ron took great joy in the many vacations he was able to enjoy with his family all over the world, the latest of which was with his wife, Beth, in Germany and France. His family will forever be appreciative of those experiences. Ron was a professed believer in Christ, and faithfully attended Bible Baptist Church in Victorville, California for many years.
Ron leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth Jakubec, and his children, Andrew (Rebecca) Jakubec, Kathryn (Coty) Pratt, Jacob Jakubec, Nicholas Jakubec, and Samuel Jakubec. His grandchildren, Andrew Jr., Adaline, Judah, Ava, and Jett Ronnie, who will make his appearance any day and carry on his grandfather's name. Along with his wife, children, and grandchildren, he is survived by his father, Ronald Jakubec Sr., his three sisters: Suzanne Jakubec, Amy (Matt) Ryser, and Pamela (Ken Boles) Jakubec, his mother-in-law, Naomi Chaney, and his nieces (Megan, Kelsey) and nephews (Matthew, Joseph, Josh). Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Kocis Jakubec, and his father-in-law, Dennis Chaney.
Ron will leave an irreplaceable hole in the hearts of his family, friends, and loved ones. He will be missed more than words can convey, but his family takes comfort knowing that one day there will be a reunion with him in Heaven.
Funeral service will be conducted 11:00am Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Ambassador Baptist Church, 620 Trease Rd., Wadsworth. The family will receive friends from 9:30am-11:00am prior tot he service at the church. Interment will be in Rittman Cemetery.
