On Monday, April 15, 2024, Ronnie Parham, age 58, of Waverly, Va. won his battle with brain cancer, as he is with his Lord and Savior rejoicing and free from all suffering. He received his last miracle, one of many through his journey with Glioblastoma. Ronnie was born in Sedley, Va to Louise Parham and the late Russell Parham. He is survived by his wife, Regina, of almost 35 years on April 29; his sons, Wade (D.I.L. Kayla) and Cameron (girlfriend Hannah), Alan (exchange student son); his mom, Louise Collins and stepdad, Earl; his siblings, Tommy Parham, (former wife Sherry), Teresa Buhls (Kendal), and Kenny Parham (Renee'); his step siblings Earl Collins, Jr. (Kim), Mary Beth (Dennis), Steve Eggleston (gf Angie) and Jeff Eggleston; mother in law, Shelby Freeman, sister in law, Teresa Colon; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; numerous friends, all whom he loved dearly. He is predeceased by his dad, Russell Parham; his grandmothers, Hilda Scott (Nanny) and Elizabeth Parham; his grandfathers, Ryland Scott and Lewis Parham; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ronnie was a welder by trade and his work ethic was one of a kind. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, building furniture, spending time with his family that he loved with all his heart, his dogs, Janie and Lucy, his grand dogs, Lacy, Charm, Steel and Stormie, and his time at the river in Claremont (especially on the boat fishing). He was a top-notch welder, fabricator, "boss man", provider, business owner, teacher and role model. He was giving, caring and unselfish, but would also tell you what was on his mind most of the time. Among his greatest accomplishments is his walk with God (including being a youth pastor in Charlotte, NC in 1990 and 1991), his family whom he cherished, and his friends whom he loved like family. He attended Smithfield High School in Smithfield, Va and P.D. Pruden trade school in Suffolk, Va., which was the foundation that led him to the welding trade and owning/running his own welding and fabrication business since 1996. Ronnie served as a board member for Waverly Youth Hunt Club and was the hunt master for several years, belonged to Belsches Mill Pond (aka Belchers/Arrington) and was a member of the Country Club of Petersburg,

There will be a celebration of life for Ronnie on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11AM at Destination Church in Hopewell, Va., The Crossings Shopping Center at 5258 Oaklawn Blvd., with a reception following. Light refreshments will be served and stories about Ronnie can be shared at that time. In lieu of flowers, Ronnie requested donations be made to Tidewater Academy in Wakefield, Va. and Destination Church Legacy Fund in Hopewell, VA. R.W. Ronnie and Regina are great people. My mama loved them. I spent several days of my childhood playing with Wade at their house. Ronnie was also one my coach pitch coach's when I played for Waverly. I have so many memories with them and I am so sad to hear about his passing. I wish I would kept in touch. They all will forever have a special place in my heart.
I know my mama & daddy are talking with Ronnie up there.. I will see you all again.
