Ronald Ray Rager, 85, of Canton, OH, passed away peacefully on Feb. 20, 2024. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. He was born in Johnstown, PA on August 19, 1938 and moved to the Canton area shortly thereafter. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and retired from the Timken Co. with 42 years of service. He was was preceded in death by his loving wife Donna C. Rager, his parents Gerald and Esther Rager, and his sister Geraldine Miller. He is survived by his son Steve (Milli) Rager, daughter Doreen (Phillip) Speer, daughter Beth (George) Young; grandchildren Amanda Deluca, Nicholas (Krys) Traugh, Stephanie (Brandon) Davis, Jessica (Keith) Beach, and Adam Young; and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved so much. The family wishes to thank the Massillon Danbury for their care and support over the last several years, and the caregivers of ElaraCaring Hospice. Visitation will be held Friday Feb. 23 from 5-7 at Reed Funeral Home 705 Raff Road SW Canton, OH 44710 and Saturday Feb. 24 from 10-11:30 with funeral service following at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to ElaraCaring Hospice 1530 W. Market St. Akron, OH 44313, or a charity of your choosing. Share a fond memory at reedfuneralhome.com.
