Ronald James Schmitz, of McMillan Township passed away on Nov 19, 2024, at his residence.
He was born to the late George and Dorothy (Hinrick) Schmitz on July 21, 1931.
Ronald in his early years worked at Perkins Milk & Ice Cream as a delivery man and had his own route. Ronald enlisted into the navy, at age 18 and went into the Deck Force. Then entered the Gunnery Dept.- metering gun's and after 1 year was a gunner's mate. After that he was a painter in the military as well.
In 1954 he went back to Perkins Milk & Ice Cream in Tomahawk. On March 25, 1961, he married Shelby Jean Plaman at Grace Lutheran Church. They lived in Neillsville Wi and raised their children.
Later in life they purchased a home in Stratford WI. Ronald retired from Stanley's Beer Pepo. after being there for 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife Shelby who passed away on August 2, 2018, at age 80.
He is survived by James "Jim" Schmitz, Janet Ketic, Lynn Schmitz, Gloria Dolle, Heather Dolle, Kenny Dolle, great grandchildren Tienna Dolle, Billy Dolly, Isaiah Dolle, Juius Cilter, KSE Tora Cilter and Davey Cilter.
