Ronald R. "Ronnie" Waun, 68 of Parsons, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
He was born on November 28, 1956 in Sandusky, Michigan to Jerry D. and Marjorie A. (Green) Waun. He grew up in Branson and graduated from Branson High School.
In earlier years Ronnie worked in construction and dug many graves by hand. In recent years he mowed yards and was a care provider for individuals at SKIL. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards with his brothers, fishing, bird watching, watching Gunsmoke and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
He and Lori Jenkins were married and later divorced. He and Louise (Ferguson) Irwin were married on November 5, 1994 in Parsons. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his son, Brock Meadows (Rhea Harvey) of Branson, MO, his daughter, Sarah Stringer (Rusty) of Parsons, six grandchildren, Bryanna Winters (Chance), Baylee DeWitt, Alex Meadows, Payton Stringer, Paige Stringer, and Brody Meadows; two great granddaughters, Gwyneth and Georgia Winters; son, Ben Ryan (Beth); ten brothers and sisters, Cherie Schofield, Gene (Susie), Mike (Sherry), Ray, John (Carrie), Cindy Rossman, Tommy (Kim), Danny, Kenny (Annabeth) and Billy (Lisa); former son-in-law, Mike DeWitt and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Casey Joe Waun, his parents, a sister-in-law, Jeanene Waun and brother-in-law, Glen Schofield.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons. Memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior or St. Jude's Children Hospital and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, P.O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
