Lawrence David Waun "Pokey Packrat" was born on July 13, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan to Leo and Margaret Waun. Lawrence, who resided in Allen Park, Michigan, passed away on December 28, 2023 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Lillian Waun. Loving father of Lawrence (Roxanne) Waun II, Mark (Helena) Waun, and James (Nateese) Waun. Dear brother of Linda Weise, Carol (Gabe) Dobos, Patricia (Ralph) Tadajewski, Mary (Paul) Kaminski, and Richard (Kathy) Waun. Dearest grandfather of Lawrence "Bubby" (Kerra), Danielle (Troy), Kimberley, Lauren, Emily, Juniper, Jubilee, and Jameson. Loving great-grandfather of Dacey and Delilah. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Margaret, his brother Robert (the late Patricia) Waun, and his daughter in-law Denise Waun. Lawrence will be deeply missed by family and friends. Visitation Friday, January 5, 2024 from 2:00- 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Allen Park Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 5900 Allen Rd. (313) 928-2300. In state Saturday 10:00 a.m. with a 11:00 a.m. funeral service to follow at Calvary Lutheran Church 3320 Electric Ave, Lincoln Park. Interment Glen Eden Memorial Park.
