Ronny Jo Kipling, 86, of Marietta, Illinois passed away at his residence on Thursday February 27, 2025. He was born December 9, 1938 in Macomb, IL to Lester and Vanita (Holt) Kipling, He married Jane Kinser and they shared three boys together. He later married Therese Carlson and she preceded him in death on January 14, 2019.
Surviving are his three boys, Randy Kipling of Crittenden, KY; Dan (Kimberly) Kipling of Marietta, IL; Jeff Kipling of Marrietta, IL; seven grandchildren, Matthew and Hannah Kipling; Zach (Kate) Kipling, Brooke (Chance) Burkle, McKenzi Kipling, Adam (Kara) Bockenstedt, Allyson (Nate) Womble, 10 great grandchildren, and one sister Sherry Feld of Colchester, IL.
Ronny Jo was a standout baseball and basketball player at the Colchester High School. After high school, he was recruited by the St. Louis Cardinals AAA Baseball Farm Team in West Virginia. He was a member of Local 231 of Pekin, IL for over 20 years while owning and managing a farm for over 50 years. Ronny appreciated gods' natural creation as an avid outdoors man. He instilled that love of sport to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday March 6, 2025 at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Macomb with Pastor Jim Eddy officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday March 6, 2025 at the Martin-Hollis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Bushnell Fire and Rescue.
