Roxana L. Quinnell

Roxana L. Quinnell, 81, of Las Cruces, NM, passed away on April 7, 2022.
Roxana L. Quinnell was born in Ronan, Montana to Clifford C. Cole and Effie E. Randall on July 12, 1940.
Roxana is preceded in death by her parents Clifford Cole and Effie Randall; and her husband Dale E. Quinnell. She received a BA in Fine Art and Education from the University of Montana Western. Roxana is survived by her son Cole Quinnell; son, Kyle Quinnell and wife, Bernadette; grandchildren, Julie, Analise and Amelia Quinnell, Mira and Nathan Quinnell.
She was an artist and loved animals which was evident in her artwork. She was born and raised in the mountains of western Montana. Her love of animals was with her for as long as she could remember. Her concern for our endangered environment and its wildlife led her to specialize in Animals – Wild & Domestic. A percentage of all her sales were donated to a number of domestic, wildlife and habitat conservation organizations. She would spend as much or more time on the research as she did on the actual work of drawing each picture. She enjoyed trying to capture the personalities of the animals and their expressions in the works that she did and hoped people were able to see what she thought she saw.
She loved working at art shows where she was able to meet and talk to people that loved animals as much as she did.
Funeral services will be private.
