Russell “Butch” Adams Jr., 69, of Nashport, died at 8:18 P.M. on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 17, 1954, in Zanesville, a son of the late Russell and Shirley (Flynn) Adams Sr. Butch worked as an asphalt foreman for Shelly & Sands Inc. from 1978 to 2013. Butch enjoyed racing, especially Indy car and IMSA racing. He was a Porsche enthusiast and enjoyed taking them to car shows. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Theresa “Terri” (Cronin) Adams, whom he married May 26, 1982; a daughter, Mikaela (Alex) Nash; granddaughter, Tyler Marie Nash; step mother, Marcia Adams; a sister, Debbie (John) Shaner; brother-in-law, Carl (Marcia) Cronin; sister-in-law, Polly (Mark) McConaha; many loved nephews; great friends, Ed Rouan and Greg Caw
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Shirley (Oliver) Vestre and father-in-law, Donald Cronin.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. with Evangelist Jeff Shaner officiating.
Following the services a cremation will take place.
