Rutendo Ruth Marovatsanga

Rutendo Ruth a.k.a Ruru Tipy Marovatsanga, 32 years old of Cape Cod Massachusetts, USA passed away on 5 February 2025 in the United States of America, Cape Cod Hospital, Massachusetts.
Rutendo was born in Harare, Zimbabwe to Shoniwa Marovatsanga and Audry Madzinga on April 11th 1992. She went to high school at Eaglesvale in Harare. She went on to earn a degree in Environmental Management from Africa University (Mutare). After completing her degree program it was hard for her to secure a job in line with her degree. She then became a high school teacher with Kenville High School in Kwekwe. It was during this time that she grew passion for the culinary arts. She then left Kenville High School to pursue a degree program in culinary arts with the Hotel Private School in Stellenbosch, South Africa. She became one of the best students at the school and expanded her program to include becoming a well known Sommelier to which she held several certificates.
Rutendo became the winner of a program which is held annually in South Africa "Reaching for the stars" a program designed to see young chefs spreading their wings and flying higher in the culinary arts industry. As a winner Ruru had the greatest opportunity to work with some of the best chefs in Dubai's upmarket hotels including One and Only Dubai
Soon after Dubai Tipy went on to have another international experience at Winslow's Tavern in Wellfleet, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, United States of America. She came back to South Africa where she worked for some upmarket restaurants and hotels.
Her experience in the United States cultivated an ambition to return to the State and build a career. She then left South Africa and headed straight back to the United States of America where she worked again for Winslow's Tavern. In 2023 Rutendo decided to spread her wings even further and went into a different career path. Ruru Tipy joined Latham International, an organisation that deals with young adults who have behavioural challenges, in the United States of America. Rutendo excelled in her performance and was elevated to the position of Behavioural Specialist. A position she held until she could no longer work due to poor health.
Rutendo Ruth "Ruru" "Tipy" was a soft calm young lady full of life. To her family and friends she was full of humor.
Ruru is survived by both her parents, her 2 sibling brothers, her nieces and nephews, her cousins, her uncles, aunts, and maternal grandfather.
