Ruth A. Fethers, 59, of Addison, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Bampa's House in Corning following a valiant and determined fight with pancreatic cancer.
Born in the Town of Urbana, NY on June 10, 1964, Ruth was the daughter of Conrad and Dorothy Wood Bartholf. She attended Addison Schools but eventually graduated from Dundee Central School.
Ruth owned and operated Buzzy's Dream Restaurant in Addison since April 2011, having been employed there 8 years prior to her acquisition of the business. She had worked in the restaurant business most of her adult life. Ruth enjoyed the outdoors, being it fishing, hunting, tending to her beautiful flower gardens, time at the beach or raising chickens. But her most enjoyable and treasured time was that spent with her beloved grandchildren.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Tracy and Eric Stratton of Woodhull, Teresa Fethers (Chris Pellett) of Addison, Micki and Andrew Stewart of Woodhull and Bocephus "Bo" and Sheena Graham of Addison, her grandchildren, Devon Grandall, Cheyanne Grandall, Shaylah Stratton, Mysan Stratton, Skylar Seager, Krisyana Pellett, Taylor Stewart, Nolan Barney, Brinley Graham and Meric Graham, her siblings, Celia Tritt, Conrad (Lisa) Bartholf and Holly Bartholf along with several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Dorothy and her sisters, Frances Kirkham and Cindy Lou Willis.
Friends may call on Saturday, May 18 from 2 to 5 pm for a time of visitation at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY.
Memorial donations are suggested for either Bampa's House in Corning or the Wilmot Cancer Center in Dansville.
Friends are invited to join the family following visitation at the Feed Mill Restaurant in Woodhull for a time of fellowship and a meal.
