Ruth Edna Borah Miracle, 91, of Lancaster, KY, formerly of Williams Branch, Pineville, KY, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Landmark of Lancaster, Lancaster, KY. Ruth was born on August 30, 1932, to Loyd G. Borah and America Jessie England Borah.
Ruth was a longtime member of the Primitive Baptist Faith. Her greatest joy was taking care of and spending time with her family. She was an avid UK fan who would not miss a game. Ruth loved to read and was a crafter, from crocheting and cross-stitching to painting and sewing. She loved sharing her joy of crafting with her family.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Gene Miracle; infant daughter and son, Connie Jean and Russell; son, Albert Miracle; daughter-in-law, Lynn Miracle; grandson, Corey Miracle; and granddaughter-in-law, Bridgette Silcox Miracle.
She is survived by sons, Don (Peggy) Miracle, Wetzel (Sheila) Miracle, all of Middlesboro, KY, Zane Miracle of Keavy, KY, and daughter, Becky (Roger) Purcell of Lancaster, KY; grandsons, Randy, Adam, Matthew, and Aaron Miracle; granddaughters, Amanda Marsee, Sara Chenault, and Kaitlynn Rivera; great-grandsons, Dylan Miracle, Dean Marsee, and Rafe Chenault; great-granddaughters, Sierra Cobb, Allyson, Addison, and Paisley Miracle, Mila Rivera, and Declyn Marsee; great-great-grandson, Ethan Cobb; and close family friend, Bill Ray “Bimbo” Howard.
Ruth’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Landmark of Lancaster’s HSC Unit. During her time there, they became family to Ruth, and she considered Landmark her home.
The family of Ruth Miracle will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY.
Funeral services for Ruth Miracle will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Calvin Primitive Baptist Church, Pineville, KY with Elder Steve Green presiding. At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will follow in procession to the Miracle Family Cemetery, Pineville, KY, where graveside services will be held.
Pallbearers will be Randy Miracle, Adam Miracle, Matthew Miracle, Aaron Miracle, Josh Chenault, Nick Marsee and Thomas Rivera.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ruth’s granddaughters, great-granddaughters, great-grandsons, great-great-grandson, and Gene Hurst.
