Kirsten passed away surrounded by those that hold her so dear on July 8, 2024. She was born on December 2, 1982 to Roger and Rebecca Holmes. After high school in Cleburne she went to college at Texas A&M University and graduated as a proud member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2005. She then went on to receive her law degree at Texas Wesleyan University.

She met her husband Kirk Hinkson, in January of 2010 and married June 19, 2011. They shared 14 wonderful years together full of adventure, love and laughter. Kirsten lived in Grandview where they are raising their amazing son, Liam. He is the light of her life. They also have a beloved dog, Sherlock, that is treated, and spoiled, more like a person. Kirsten was an attorney and opened up her own practice in Cleburne with a childhood best friend where she helped countless people.

Waiting for her at the gates of Heaven was her uncle Roger Pedigo, her aunt Carolyn David and her grandmother Dorothy Holmes. I know they gave her the biggest hug and they probably haven’t stopped talking since. She is survived by her loving husband Kirk Hinkson, their son Liam, her mom and dad, Roger and Rebecca Holmes. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Jordan and Mark Jistel and niece and nephew Brooke and Everett Jistel, mother-in-law and father-in-law Kirk and Jan Hinkson, aunt Courtney Pedigo, cousins that are like siblings - Kyle Pedigo and Nicole Jones along with sister-in-law Laura Martin, brother-in-law Derek Hinkson, other cherished nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and countless friends.

She is so very loved and deservedly so. She is the best of us. She took care of us through her amazing meals, the trips she planned, her impossible gifts and parties, her smart and confident wisdom, her heartfelt laughter, her unwavering strength. She brought everyone together. She shone light and positivity even when going through her own tremendous challenges. The loss felt is so great but we will live to honor her legacy. We praise God for blessing us with her these years and that this is not goodbye forever. We can’t wait to see her again one day.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
