It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ryan McDermott, age 40, of Derry, NH. Ryan passed away unexpectedly on the evening of May 13, 2025 at home due to accidental substance-related causes.
Born on May 10, 1985, Ryan was a caring, loyal, and deeply loved son, brother, and father. He had a kind heart, a bright spirit, a love of music, and a contagious laugh that brought joy to those around him.
Ryan is survived by his beloved daughter, Emily McDermott; his devoted mother, Patricia Sevigny and stepfather, Dave Sevigny; his father, David McDermott and stepmother, Angelica McDermott; and his brothers, Aaron McDermott, Kevin McDermott, and Marcus Sevigny; a loving family of aunts and uncles and many cousins; and the love of his life, Liz Bidot. He was predeceased by his brother, Casey McDermott, whom he now joins in eternal rest.
Ryan's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His family takes comfort in remembering the good times, his sense of humor, and the love he had for his daughter and family.
Following cremation, a memorial for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 31st from 1 - 4pm at the Marrion Gerrish Community Center, 39 W. Broadway, Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes of Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements.
